“田跃民雕塑•国画艺术个展”2013年12月21日10:18时在江苏省美术馆开幕，展览时间为2013年12月21日至2013年12月29日。此次展览由北京中南茗海书画院、香港亚洲艺术珍品展览中心主办。上海迈锡尼艺术品有限公司承办策划。中直机关书画院、中山达华智能科技股份有限公司、中山市嘉利印刷有限公司协办。此次展览作为2013年田跃民个人艺术世界巡展的重要一站，选择了人文历史有着深厚积淀的南京，通过雕塑、水墨等艺术创作形式与南京多元的文化气息产生互动。
田跃民先生作为朴实、刚毅的山东汉子，青年时便得到过雕塑大师刘开渠先生赏识，有幸与程允贤、刘林、潘鹤等学习雕塑技法并合作创作。他以认真扎实的创作态度、以写实为基础，大胆写意的风格成为中国雕塑界中举足轻重的艺术家。勤勤恳恳的耕耘，换来的是一件件举足轻重的艺术作品的诞生。在此次展览中，艺术爱好者们将可以欣赏到田跃民先生多年来所创作的重要雕塑作品。
田跃民先生虽以雕塑成名，但他敢于突破自我，在近年来的雕塑创作之余，笔耕不辍，悄然开始了中国传统水墨的练习与创作。而水墨继续了泥塑完美、洒脱和田跃民惯有的大气创作风格。或许对于田跃民先生而言，从雕塑到水墨，只是创作所借助的媒介在产生变化，艺术的灵魂仍然是不灭的。在田跃民先生儿子的眼中，父亲雕塑之余拿起画笔的一刻起，田先生的眼神中也有了变化：“年过万张的速写打破了泥案与画板间的区别，父亲无比犀利的眼神迅速地从生活中汲取可用于创作的灵感；而谈起艺术时，父亲眼神中洋溢出热爱与不满足，似乎只有返璞归真后才能理解艺术的无止。”熟悉田跃民的朋友可能惊讶地发现一个成熟雕塑家身上多了几分水墨的气息；熟悉田跃民作品的朋友不会意外雕塑与国画在这位卓越的艺术家身上得到了完美结合。田跃民的雕塑与国画共同完成了对“艺术”的写实和人生感悟的写意。
此次展览将全面展示田跃民先生近年来的雕塑、国画创作近140件，特别是他最新的水墨创作，更是得到了评论界的高度肯定。此次展览或许并不是一次全面意义上的对艺术家创作生涯的梳理，但在这里，我们可以通过生动的作品与田跃民先生一起去感悟真实、感悟震撼、共同追寻“美”本身的承载。艺术家清楚的知道，艺术的量尺在眼中而非手中；而洞察力与创作灵魂的结合是艺术殿堂最重要的基石。主办方希望通过此次展览的举办，尽可能全面展示田跃民先生作为一位创作能力极强艺术家背后踏实肯干的精神。这或许对我们重新探索艺术生命的真正价值有所启迪。

Tian Yue Min, Sculpture and Chinese painting Solo Exhibition[ 2013 World Tour, Nanjing]
From 21st to 29th of December 2013, Jiangsu Art Gallery will cordially present a collection of Mr Tian Yue Min’s sculptures and paintings. Beijing Zhong nan ming hai Painting and Calligraphy Academy, Hong Kong Asian Art treasure exhibition center sponsor, Shanghai Mycenae Artwork Co.,Ltd. hosts, Zhong zhi ji guan Painting and Calligraphy Academy, TATWAH SMARTECH CO.,LTD and Zhongshan Karry Printing Co.,Ltd. co-host this exhibition. The Jiang Su stop is an important installment in Tian Yue Min’s 2013 Exhibition World Tour. The historical and culturally momentous city of Nanjing will host a range of his works including sculptures and paintings.
Mr Tian was born in Shan Dong Province – a charismatic Shan Don man. He is resolute, humble and favored by many of the modern masters of sculpture in China such as Liu Kai Qu, Cheng Yun Xian, Liu Lin and Pan He. His refined his realist approach to art with influence from his early impressionist oil painting training. His style is distinct and sublime among his contemporaries. In this exhibition, viewers are offered a well-structured anthology to Tian Yue Min and his art.
Mr.Tian owes his success to sculpture and recently became renown in the world Chinese traditional painting. His hard working ethic and artistic instinct meant that by leaving his comfort-zone, he was able to find a new medium to supplement his art. In the eyes of the spectator, his stylistic strokes embedded bold expressions of an accomplished artist – an expression traditionally seen with clay and in three-dimensions. In the eyes of Mr.Tian’s son, the divide of medium started to blur since he begun to draw sketches every day after work. With annual production of over 10,000 sketches – all of which are drawn besides his work as a sculptor – Mr.Tian transformed the creative process of art as the imitation of nature and the reflection of the artist’s perspectives. The quantitatively impressive practice of sketching, in many ways, is the metamorphosis of his career: he started to speak differently about art because his transition from observation to creation became seamless; he painted and sculpted differently because of his mastery in capturing and narrating shapes and shades; he became a different artist, an Artist, because there is a sense of “return” to the purer and more simplistic forms of beauty.
This exhibition offers over 140 pieces by Mr.Tian, collected from an archive of sculptures and paintings, including some of the most recent and most celebrated paintings. We hope to invite the viewers exploring and discussing the essence of “art”, “Artist” and “beauty”. Mr.Tian’s work and wisdom will surely be of compliment. Michelangelo use to say: “An artist must have his measuring tools not in the hand, but in the eyes.” Tian Yue Min and his art better exemplified the words of the true master. His sterling intuition and remarkable spirit of creativity are among the cornerstones of his success.
The main host of this exhibition, Shanghai Mycenae Artwork Company has long been contributing to the creative industry by means of exhibiting, collecting, consulting and retailing. Mr.Tian is one among many senior artists under its wing. It hopes to continue serving China’s excellent culture and artistic heritage, introducing its artists, creative institutions and industries to the world.
